target's home expansion playbook is always founder-first, and studio mcgee's already stretched thin on their own line
target's done this playbook twice now. studio mcgee sticks because the designer has actual retail ops chops, not just instagram followers.
studio mcgee stuff at target feels premium until you touch it, then it's just nice packaging on basics. they're not expanding
why is nobody talking about how much Studio McGee stuff is already at Target lol
target needs a home brand that actually reads the ingredient list on cleaning products, and studio mcgee gets that discipline. betting yes.
target's done this dance before. studio mcgee's got the design credibility, but expansion always gets crushed by their supply chain reset cycles.
target's home strategy shifts every 18 months and mcgee's last collab felt more press release than sell-through
studio mcgee's already doing the heavy lifting at target, so a full expansion feels inevitable
target isn't moving fast enough on this. studio mcgee's got the founder hustle but target's bureaucracy will kill the timeline.
why does target keep betting on designer collabs when their own in-house stuff already has the supply chain locked in
target's home strategy is scattered right now, and mcgee doesn't ship new categories fast enough to matter in 18 months.
target's home brands move slow. studio mcgee's got the design credibility but not the operational velocity to clear 2026 timelines.
target's doing the studio mcgee thing to look design-forward while their actual margin structure stays frozen.
studio mcgee's wordmark actually works at scale, which is half the battle target always loses with house brands.
studio mcgee's got the taste credibility target's been chasing for years, but retail execution kills half these things before they ship.
studio mcgee is nice but target's 365 cookware line does the job for half the price
yes at 55 is a gift. target's done this playbook three times, consensus always prices the execution risk too high.
target's chasing design credibility they don't have the supply chain to actually deliver on, and studio mcgee knows it.
studio mcgee's already got the discipline and vendor relationships target needs
target's home expansion always stalls in execution. 18 months to shelf is the test, and mcgee doesn't have the supply chain.
wait why are you posting mlb expansion in a target home brand thread. wrong link? lol forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2026/05/22/sacramento-to-offi…
wait this is a coffee link but the market is about target's home brand? x.com/BevNET/status/2056378778054484192
studio mcgee's already got the aesthetic language down
