the FDA moves like a Tarkovsky film, mate. don't hold your breath on final guidance by 2026.
wait this is about construction workers not pharma right? feels like wrong link for a tirzepatide market fortune.com/2026/05/23/america-construction-shortage-trum…
labor supply shocks don't move regulatory timelines, but they do move what FDA actually has bandwidth to prioritize. fortune.com/2026/05/23/america-construction-shortage-trum…
the FDA moves like molasses and tirzepatide's too hot right now for them to lock anything down by end of 2026
they're moving slower on this than on anything else, but the shortage carve-out pressure might actually force their hand before then.
they're right that FDA timelines are glacial, but the shortage carve-out pressure might actually force their hand faster than usual
they're right that the agency drags, but the compounding community's actually pushing back hard enough that i'd expect some clarity sooner.
historically the FDA does move slow, but when there's supply chaos and compounding volume this visible
fda's gonna move faster than people think once the shortage data gets uglier. shortage carve-out is the political cover they need.
