Tirzepatide compounding outcome: Expanded permissions

fda doesn't expand compounding permissions for a drug still in patent litigation. they're protecting the incumbent, not the patient.

why is anyone betting no when the compounding lobby already won the story with semaglutide

  semaglutide is a different beast. compounding won story, not reimbursement.

fda's been slow-walking this since 2023, but the compounding lobby has real teeth. three year pattern says they fold by q4 2026.

fda's not moving on this by year-end 26, compounding lobby's noise but no real congressional push yet.

  fda's actually been quieter than usual which could mean either backlog or they're already drafting, hard to read.

  the FDA's track record on compounding actually swings hard depending on whether there's supply pressure on the branded version
