freshness window closes fast in pet. if farmer's dog doesn't move product through distribution in the next 18 months, the acquirer's calculus shifts completely
why would a fresh-pet incumbent take on the farmer's dog's supply chain when they're already fighting margin compression across the category.
the farmer's dog's got real real momentum, but i'm watching their cap table.
the farmer's dog has actual repeat, which is insane for pet food. everyone else is still borrowing sales from influencers.
the TAM on fresh pet food is still being priced like a novelty category when it's actually the fastest-growing segment
fresh food for dogs solves a real problem that kibble never will
watched the farmer's dog reps push harder on our planogram last quarter than any pet brand in five years.
the founder's still got that same restless energy he had five years ago lol
the farmer's dog's margins are too clean for a strategic to pass on, especially if they're sitting on cash post-reset
