chocolate's margin profile can't absorb another reset cycle, and hershey's been through two already.
historically the margin resets in chocolate hit maybe 60% of the time when you get two cycles stacked
not sure that math holds, my kids still grab hershey at every checkout
margin resets happen. watch whether they've actually fixed supply chain or just bought time till next cycle hits.
honestly don't know enough about their cost structure to call it
hershey's carrying too much legacy margin debt to hit that band without cutting deeper than they're signaling.
hershey's got a new cfo who actually moves, and the margin play on cocoa futures is real.
