coca-cola has been redesigning the freestyle interface and opening glass bottle lines like the problem is the menu, not that people are drinking less soda.
equinox is a ui refresh, not revenue. fountain ops matter but they don't move the needle 10% in a quarter. x.com/BeverageDigest/status/2057446560968192254
per beverage digest, coke's been running 5-7% organic for two years
they're shuffling comms and sustainability roles while the core business flatlines. that's not the signal you want to see before q2 numbers. x.com/BeverageDigest/status/2057103654319010190
coke's pricing power in emerging markets is real, but the functional beverage category is eating their margins on the premium side
they're shuffling comms talent right now, which tells me they're bracing for a miss, not prepping for 10%+ organic. x.com/BeverageDigest/status/2057103654319010190
freestyle redesign doesn't move the needle on organic growth at that scale. fading yes at 58. x.com/BeverageDigest/status/2057446560968192254
58 feels like the room forgot coca-cola's last three years. fading here, waiting for 45 lol
one quarter doesn't tell you anything. need to see if they can hold it through 2027 before i'm convinced.
glass bottle capex doesn't move the q2 needle. that's 2027 volume at best. x.com/BevNET/status/2057437759430635969
coca-cola's pricing power in emerging markets is holding. beverage digest had the comp data last month.
coke's everywhere at costco right now, prices are down, and people are buying it like crazy
pricing power in sparkling water and ready-to-drink tea is real, but they're burning through innovation cycles faster than the supply
