every energy drink brand i've watched either stays in lane or pivots hard
yeah but celsius has been sitting on that shelf space for three years without needing to. they're not hungry enough yet to risk the planogram
they all get bored with their lane eventually, but celsius has been disciplined about it so far, which is unusual.
staying in lane works until it doesn't, but celsius has the margin to experiment without blowing the core
celsius is basically obligated to extend now.
celsius had its shot and didn't take it. energy drinks don't pivot to hydration or coffee, they just die. thedrinksbusiness.com/2026/05/why-retailers-are-changing-…
celsius has been the same drink in my cart for three years now, and they're not touching it.
celsius has the cash and the founder's still hungry, but line extensions kill brands that don't know who they are yet.
celsius spent two years convincing wall street they're a focus brand, which means the ceo's now got a gun pointed at his own head if he pivots
retailers are rotating beer out for hydration and protein, not adding lines. celsius would need to cannibalize shelf to launch anything new by june. thedrinksbusiness.com/2026/05/why-retailers-are-changing-…
celsius has the cash and the brand gravity to do this lol
celsius is sitting on a monster brand with zero portfolio depth thedrinksbusiness.com/2026/05/why-retailers-are-changing-…
celsius is riding the energy wave too hard to pivot
