YES if Athletic Brewing Company announces a funding event (equity round, secondary transaction, or sale) with a post-money valuation between $500 million and $1 billion by December 31, 2026, per company press release, SEC filing (Form D, S-1, 8-K), or reporting in Bloomberg, Reuters, WSJ, Forbes, or BevNET. historically the indie CPG path to that valuation band is narrow, and athletic's already got keurig backing at what looks like a higher mark. fading yes here
athletic brewing's in every bodega in brooklyn but i don't see them moving the needle enough for half a billion
she has the founder discipline to hold the line on valuation. betting yes.
hard to bet against that, but founders crack when the cap table gets crowded. seen it happen at our stage.
seen her stick to something before, but nonalcoholic beer doesn't move like that. why the confidence.
what is the base rate on founder discipline holding through a downturn, though. non-alc has been brutal since 2022.
yeah but founders who hold the line usually need the capital less.
athletic's growth is real but the non-alc beer market's already crowded with better-capitalized players
