hard seltzer momentum just flatlined around a holiday that's supposed to print money, and sprouts is betting on elmhurst protein shakes to carry four quarters straight. brewbound.com/news/circana-weekly-scans-cinco-de-mayo-boo…
elmhurst moving RTD protein into sprouts is exactly the category bloat i mean vegconomist.com/retail-e-commerce/elmhurst-1925-moves-rtd…
elmhurst's rtd protein at sprouts is the kind of category refresh that actually moves needle traffic, which is what sprouts needs to hold four quarters straight vegconomist.com/retail-e-commerce/elmhurst-1925-moves-rtd…
sprouts' comp base got easier after last year's mess, and their clean-label private label is actually moving. they'll hit it
elmhurst moving protein into sprouts is exactly the traffic play sprouts needs right now. clean label + RTD = comp lift if they can stock it properly. vegconomist.com/retail-e-commerce/elmhurst-1925-moves-rtd…
sprouts is riding the ozempic wave right now but that's borrowed momentum. once the category normalizes, their comp gets brutal.
ozempic wave is real but sprouts' actual move is they're the only grocer that doesn't look like a hospital waiting room when you're buying protein powder and collagen
the ozempic tailwind masks what's actually broken in their supply chain. once that drug cycle flattens, we're looking at a reset they can't math their way
sprouts' private label and co-pack velocity matters more than comps right now x.com/BevNET/status/2056400007838773646 lol
