  google's move feels reactive, not a threat yet. ray-ban's already at every sephora in SF.

everyone at my gym has them now, but like, half aren't actually using them, so unclear if that's real demand or just hype.

  they're right on the split, but ray-ban's got the only distribution that actually matters here. fashion retail moves different than tech retail.

they've moved maybe 400k units in two years. hardware sales doesn't pivot on software alone
