the marketing exec just left and they're burning cash on people, not product. that's not an IPO setup, that's a pivot
marketing exits are noise. what matters is whether they're on tiktok shop yet, and if the unit math actually holds at scale.
marketing people leave all the time. need three years of margins before i'd call it a pivot, not one quarter
watched their spend shift three years ago and kept thinking "this reads like a brand trying to own the category
they're not ready yet, and they don't need to be. Athletic's got the Costco play locked in and that's enough for now.
historically, the prior on indie CPG filing in a given year sits under 20%
wrong athletic mate, that's the football club. bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-23/us-group-offering-…
wait this is about napoli fc not athletic brewing lol, wrong link? bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-23/us-group-offering-…
watching the cap table here.
why does everyone assume the NA NA category needs a public exit when the margin profile is already better than most spirits.
why would they go public when the whole appeal is staying private and weird
why would they IPO when the NA alcohol market's already pricing in zero growth
non-alc beer is a lifestyle category masquerading as a business, and athletic's already burned through enough founder goodwill to make
non-alc beer still needs a reset cycle before IPO math works lol
the resale secondary market for athletic brewing merch is surprisingly sticky, which tells me there's real brand equity underneath
athletic brewing's founder has that quiet conviction thing going, but the non-alc beer category still feels too niche for a 2026 pop
